Demolition of Existing Sherwood Plaza Underway to Make Room for Stockton’s
First Lifestyle Center
Stockton, Calif. (February 15, 2007) – Today, Stockton-based Stone Brothers and Associates announced retailers Eddie Bauer, J. Jill and Talbot’s have committed new stores to the soon-to-be-built Stonecreek Village, Stockton’s first upscale retail center. These new additions will join Ann Taylor LOFT, Coldwater Creek, Lane Bryant, Cacique, Aveda Lifestyle Salon, Jos. A. Banks, BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse, Boudin SF and Juice It Up which were announced in November 2006. The 15-acre Stonecreek Village will be built at the corner of Pacific Avenue and West Robinhood Drive where Sherwood Plaza and Kmart are currently being demolished. The initial phase of Stonecreek Village, constituting 161,000 square feet, is set to open in the spring of 2008.
“We have leases and commitments for 45 percent of the development, which is a great pre-construction start to our leasing efforts,” said Stone Brothers and Associates Managing Member Mike Minson. “As local residents ourselves, we are committed to bringing a variety of excellent restaurants and national specialty stores to the heart of Stockton and have several promising additional deals in the pipeline.”
